“DAAN UTSAV”

In the first week of October the college observed DAAN UTSAV: A Fund Collection Drive. Amount of Rs. 30,501/- was collected and handed over to DILASA Palliative care Centre- Ponda Goa.

A faculty improvement seminar was organised for the Teaching and Non-Teaching staff of our college on the topic: Life insurance : An overview of policies and Tax benefits.

“Workshop on Saree Draping”

The cultural association of college organised a Saree Draping Workshop for girl students of SY BCom on 7 April 2022. Ms Pradisha Shirodkar trained the students in saree draping of five different states if India.

“Annual Athletic Meet of the College”

Niyaz Ahmad (SY BCA) and Krutika Chari (SY B. Com) won the Best Male and Female individual Championship at the Annual Athletic Meet of the College held at the Sports Complex at Ponda on the 4th May,2022.

Luis Vaz Former National Baseball Player and Goa state Coach was the guest who gave away the trophies, medals and certificates to all winners of the different athletic events held.

The Counselling Cell and Gender Sensitization Cell organized a talk on “Awareness about Menstrual Health and Hygiene” and ” 1811 Women Helpline” for F.Y.B.Com students of the college on Wednesday, 27th April 2022.

“Short term computer courses”

The Department of Computer Science of Our College organised a short term Certificate course of 30 hrs duration on Ms – office & Tally in association with Comtech, Computer Academy, Ponda Goa.

“Dance Competition“

Cultural Association of the college under the guidance of convenor Dr. Smita Sanzgiri organised dance competition in the following categories : a)Solo Dance, b)Duet Dance, c)Group Dance

In all, there were 4 solo dances, 6 group dances and 4 duet dances. Mrs. Anushree Bhandari, Ms. Priti Naik and Mrs. Sapphira Gomes were the judges for the event.

“Singing Competition“

Cultural Association of our college headed by Dr. Smita Sanzgiri, organised solo signing competition on 13^th April 2022 at 11:15 am at the college auditorium. In all, 15 songs were presented by the participants in various languages.

Ms. Shawari Naik and Ms. Kavita Bargi compared the functions. Ms. Neha Parab, Ms. Sanjana Manerkar and Ms. Rakshavi Desai were the judges for the event.

Interclass Tennis ball Cricket tournament was held on 25th & 26th of March 2022. Total 13 Teams took part in the tournament. Dr. Pradip Maske chief guest for the tournament distributed the trophy to the winners.

The NSS unit of our college organized a Blood Donation Camp on 24th March 2022 in association with Blood Bank Goa Medical College. The response for the Camp from the students was good with 60 students coming forward to donate of which 45 were found to be fit to donate. NSS volunteers along with other students participated in the Camp.
