Campus Placement Drive 2025
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in collaboration with the Training, Internship, and Placement Cell (TIP), successfully organized a Campus Placement Drive on Friday, 7th March 2025 starting from 9:00 a.m. onwards at Goa Vidyaprasarak Mandal’s Gopal Govind Poy Raiturcar College of Commerce and Economics, Ponda, Goa. This event provided a valuable platform for students from diverse academic backgrounds to explore employment opportunities with top companies. The placement drive was open to all interested candidates, including graduates, under graduates and postgraduates from any discipline. Over 200+ students from various GVM’s aswellas from other colleges participated in the interview process, showcasing their skills, knowledge, and passion for securing a position with top companies.
Objective:
The main goal of the Campus Placement Drive was to give students from different academic backgrounds a chance to connect with potential employers. The event aimed to provide job opportunities to graduates, postgraduates, and students from programs like Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), and Master of Commerce (M.Com). It was designed to help students move from their studies to real-world jobs by allowing them to show their skills to top companies. The drive also focused on giving students a chance to network with industry professionals, improving their chances of getting hired. To help them succeed, the event included training sessions to prepare students for the job application process.
Participating Companies:
The placement drive attracted a diverse group of 15 prestigious companies from different industries, actively seeking qualified candidates for a variety of roles. These organizations represented key sectors such as IT, Banking, Insurance, Finance, Manufacturing, HR, and Consumer Goods. The participating companies included:
Recruitment Process:
The recruitment process started with students registering for the placement drive. After registration, companies reviewed the resumes submitted by the students. Based on the resumes, they shortlisted candidates for interviews. In the interviews, the companies checked the candidates' skills and qualifications to see if they were a good fit for the job. This simple process helped connect the right students with the right job opportunities.
